Whoa damn, it's been a while since I've posted.
SO! Out of school, which is more delightful than I ever thought possible. Running, going out for coffee with Emy a lot (lol), and making technopunk remixes of the songs from Dreamgirls. Just a few of the myriad goings-on of my days.
Graduation's on Sunday... I'm excited, but also vaguely unprepared. Need to go pick up a few things today, which should get me more prepared in the physical sense of the word. Emotionally, not so much. Though I do have my elementary school reunion today... lol.
As far as summer things go, finding a job has been a bitch. Yes, I didn't start looking until pretty late, but I figured it would be easier than this. For now I'm teaching guitar and may be starting to fill in as a session-guitarist-type-person. Which would be pretty cool, all things considered. Just three more months, and then off to WashU!

Because I'm all for annoyingly referenced titles.
But truly it was a great success! Emily, Lucy, Shannon and I were basically in charge of planning a tea party for our advisory, which was a thousand times more fun than I anticipated. We had four different kinds of tea, tea sandwiches, scones, lemonbread, cookies, and fondue. Truly a fantastic time.
I've decided that I'm going to wear ice skates to and from school just so that I can handle the sidewalks around here. Might keep the slippage-and-falling-on-my-ass to a minimum. Not that that's not a beloved winter tradition.

MOUTHOLOGY (I would SO spin this to a bad double entendre if I wasn't so tired)
Q. What is your salad dressing of choice?
A. Caesar
Q. What is your favorite fast food restaurant?
A. In-N-Out Burger changed me for life, but it's all much the same.
Q. What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
A. That's a really tough call. Probably Ben Pao, but I reserve the right to have other favorites.
Q. On average how much of a tip do you leave at a restaurant?
A. Somewhere in the realm of 20%
Q. What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick of?
A. Potatoes. I'm disgustingly Irish that way.
Q. What are your pizza toppings of choice?
A. Mushrooms and green peppers, but I'll take anything as long as it's a deep dish
Q. What do you like to put on your toast?
A. butter and cinammon sugar
TECHNOLOGY
Q. What is your wallpaper on your computer?
A. 's a photo of a sea otter pointing at a bucket of ice saying "Who maked my water go hard?" I'm mildly obsessive over the lolcat/lolcreature phenomenon.
Q. How many televisions are in your house?
A. ... *counts on fingers* 6? shit...
Q. What kind of cell phone do you have?
A. Samsung X-497. It can't do much, but that's kind of nice.
BIOLOGY
Q. Are you right-handed or left-handed?
A. Right hand!
Q. Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
A. YUS! A "precancerous lesion". I have a pretty bitchin scar.
Q. What is the last heavy item you lifted?
A. My brother. Nuff said.
Q. Have you ever been knocked unconscious?
A. Nuh-uh
BULL[CRAP]OLOGY
Q. If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
A. I'm with Emy. NOWAYKTHXBAI
Q. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
A. I kind of already did that... I don't know. I like the fact that my name works in a bunch of languages and the nickname fodder is endless.
Q. What color looks good on you?
A. I was told by an old English teacher that I looked ravishing in red. I have staunchly avoided it ever since.
Q. Have you ever swallowed a non-food item by mistake?
A. LOLOLOLOLOL
Q. Have you ever saved someone's life?
A. Perhaps, but at present I simply have a long-set plan to save an attractive boy from a car wreck and then be like, "My God! You're lucky that Emily saved you! She's gone now-- super-hero mentality, you know-- but she left her phone number if you want to call her and, I don't know, take her out to dinner to thank her?"
Q. Has someone ever saved yours?
A. *ruffles hair* I'm sticking with Emy's answer XD
DAREOLOGY
Q. Would you kiss a member of the same sex for $100?
A. Fr'sure
Q. Would you allow one of your little fingers to be cut off for $200,000?
A. Noes. I couldn't climb, play guitar, or play ten fingers. My life would be a tragedy.
Q. Would you never blog again for $50,000?
A. Very likely!
Q. Would you pose naked in a magazine for $250,000?
A. Absolutely. I'm actually surprised at my willingness to do so X3
Q. Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1,000?
A. lol, sure thing.
Q. Would you, without fear of punishment, take a human life for $1,000,000?
A. No way. Killing someone for a very serious reason is one thing, but just for cashmoneys? That's disgusting. I'd like to think that we have more regard for human life.
DUMBOLOGY
Q: What is in your left pocket?
A. A dollar coin. I keep having it ready for the bus and realizing that it's not a quarter at the last second, so it stays with me.
Q: Do you have hardwood or carpet in your house?
A. Both, in varying amounts.
Q: Do you sit or stand in the shower?
A. Stand. I share a bathroom with my brother, and therefore am terrified of coming into close contact with the floor of the shower.
Q: Could you live with roommates?
A. Yeah, it's worked out pretty well so far.
Q: How many pairs of flipflops do you own?
A: two
Q: Last time you had a run-in with the cops?
A. ahahahahaha on Monday. Let's not even go there.
Q: Who is number 2 on your top 8
A. Pre-deletion, I think it was Finn
Q: Last friend you talked to?
A. Mary
Q: Last person who called you?
A. Momma
Q: Person you hugged?
A. George. It was lovely, and vaguely British.
CURRENTOLOGY
Q: Missing someone?
A. Sure, but I bet I'll see them soon.
Q: Mood?
A. A little burnt out. I'm really not feeling the homework vibe right now.
Q: Listening to?
A. the Dead Kennedys, or whatever pops up on my shuffle
Q: Watching?
A. Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. Every rose has its thorn.
Q: Worrying about?
A. Kev.
RANDOMOLOGY
Q: First place you went this morning?
A. To the bathroom? Yes.
Q: What do you want to do right now?
A: Pick up my guitar and finish writing. Or else go to sleep.
Q. What's the last movie you saw?
A. Either Transformers or Die Hard. I don't really remember.
Q. Do you smile often?
A. lol, I have a perma-smile.
Q: Are you a friendly person?
A. I do my best.

Hey cuties! C'est moi, reporting from South Carolina. Right now I'm trapped in a cubicle [literally without doors or windows] finishing college applications. I got Brown in and done yesterday [YUS! Emy, we're halfway there!] [and living on a prayer, now that I think about it.] and today I'm finishing Stanford. Dad's coming in for the Final Review which should... not crush my self-esteem? We'll see. Having a lovely time down here despite being in complete isolation and missing my friends. Em and I were angels in the midnight service at church on Christmas, which was hella fun. We make wicked good angels, except for when she makes me laugh too much when we're sitting in front of the entire church. May the force be with you, indeed.
You know you're in trouble when your shoulder's starting to hurt from too much typing. Happy New Year to all of you!!!

Was fuhr eine voche! Lawd, I'm tired. The good news is that for the amount of work I have due for tomorrow, this is a remarkably early time to be going to bed.
I just finished a paper about the nature and purpose of human happiness comparing and contrasting Freud and Marcus Aurelius. It was surprisingly fun to write! Except that now my eyelids are half shut, and I don't honestly know if I can open them. I could try, but that would-- oop! there they go!!
... that was anticlimactic.
Anyway, by the time most of you read this we will have gotten through one of the most hellish weeks ever, so congratulations! Merry break.
I'ma go collapse now.

So, I got deferred from Yale. I'm a little disappointed, but I didn't get denied! They're gonna lump me in with the regular decision candidates and tell me in April, which is good.
Other than that, a spectacular night. Emy and I went to a new curry place called Penny's Noodle Shop that was just the coolest thing ever (and wicked cheap!). Feeling full and delighted, we went to Target to walk around where we discovered that Em knew everyone in the entire freaking store, and that my hood is fuzzy and fun to molest? On a related note (ha! related to what! You'll never know!) we went to go visit Mason at work, which was amusing. Discussed the upcoming Norway trip, senior project, krank/line 6 amps, and kicked some annoying kids out of the store. Cruised around some more blasting... wide varieties of... music. Slid on some ice. Turned in the direction of the skid. Watched Tila Tequila reruns and ate peppermint bark. General frivolity ensued. lol, you're teh best Emy!
On my way to a Tufts interview now... it never ends... TT_TT

So today I saved a shitload of money.
Car insurance was not involved in any way.
Which somehow makes me feel more accomplished?
I should update more often, but I really just never get around to it. Things are good and uber-busy. Senior year is trying to kick my ass, but at this point I think we're locked in a one-footed asskicking contest. Which everyone loves XD

All went well this morning-- all four wisdom teeth are out with no nerve or sinus damage whatsoever. [YUS!] Playlist ended up making a killer soundtrack, and Dr. Alexander managed to focus even whilst dancing to "TNT." Nitrous is hella interesting. Went through 9 cycles of being really tingly and out of it, then refocusing. Have decided that, while it is entertaining, I really hate being high. Now I'm at home recovering [read: bleeding all over the place XD] on Vicodin AND antiinflammatories, watching 300 and having a marvelous time.
I would say Mwah here, but I'd prolly drool/bleed if that sentiment were true.

I have concocted a killer playlist for the surgery [Starts out with "Give Me Novacaine" and "Pulling Teeth", both by Green Day, goes into "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones, etc. etc. etc.] Turns out the nerve is lower than expected so my chances of loss of facial feeling are not as high, which is good. I'll keep you all posted once I'm on bedrest DX The main thing I'm worried about is saying something fantastically stupid while I'm on nitrous. My parents, in their infinate empathy, have decided to bring a tape recorder along for that very purpose.

Freshly back from Nantucket with Emily and her family. It was so much fun!!! The weather was a little iffy, but Em and I both managed to get WICKED SUNBURNED the one sunny day. On the upside, I now get to keep people from poking me in the stomach. This is all in addition to hunting for snapping turtles, basically eating my body weight in ice cream, and doing hardcore bike rides [18 miles? heck yes!]
As such, being at home is weird. After a month of being gone it's taking me longer than I expected to reacclamate, but it's still nice to be back. Getting to see various people is fun. XD
MARILYN MANSON CONCERT LAST NIGHT. The people there were so nice! It was incredible. Everyone was super polite and considerate, which is not something you typically associate with Mansonites lol. Bleeding Through was the opener: they were very okay but wonderfully grateful for the attention we gave them. Then FUCKING SLAYER! [It was funny, in the hallway between sets if you were walking around someone would yell "fucking SLAYER!" and a bajillion people would respond in kind.] Umm, so Kerry King is an amazing guitarist. "War Ensemble" and "Chemical Warfare" were great, but they did this hugely drawn-out version of "Reign in Blood" that just kicked my ass. It was amazing.
Then Manson! He got on at about 10:00, and... something about seeing him in person right in front of you is so cool. He played an excellent show-- his voice sounded great-- but no one really likes the new album and there were a lot of old songs that everyone loves that he didn't play, which was disappointing. Despite that, though, I totally lost it during mOBSCENE, The Reflecting God, and Antichrist Superstar. A-mazing.
So yes. Today I have to go on a mini-road trip to get a CAT scan of my wisdom teeth. Apparently my mouth either hates me or just has a really twisted sense of humor. My bottom two wisdom teeth MIGHT be wrapped around the main nerve in my chin, which they could damage, and the top two might leave a hole in my sinus cavity. Greeeeeat.

Brown was absolutely amazing. I met a ton of really great people, took a brilliant course, and learned a lot about how I interact with people and with college life in general. I <3 COLLEGE. Senior year's gonna be a little bit trickier now that I know what college is like and love it so much, but am still prepared to stick it out.
I had two days at home, so I didn't get to see a lot of people [sorry, luvs!] but I did get a day at Lolla with my brother, which was very fun, and get to unpack/repack my life. ...And get a new boyfriend... We'll discuss later X3
Now I'm in Nantucket with Emily and her family. It's been a great time so far! Our house is adorable and we're really close to town. Today we explored and hit the beach for a little bit, and let Em test her off-roading skillz. It was AWESOME! lolz =]
Anyway, that's my update for now. Hope you guys are having an AMAZING summer.
